Tulsa Physician Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault Of 12-Year-old Girl
TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa Police Department said a 70-year-old Tulsa doctor has been arrested on a complaint of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old family friend.
Police say Dr. Gerald Snider was babysitting the girl and her brother in his home in the 1500 block of North Joplin when the alleged assault took place.
"A witness observed the defendant naked in his bedroom with the 12 year old naked on his bed," the arrest report states.
Police say Snider had the door to his bedroom locked and told the witness to "go away" when he knocked at the door. The girl was later taken to the hospital for a sexual assault examination which revealed lacerations and redness, the arresting officer said in his report.
The arrest report indicates Snider is employed by Care Family Medical at Admiral and Harvard.
Police say the doctor admitted that he often locked the victim in his room with him and that they slept in the same bed. The girl's underwear were found in his dresser, according to the arrest report.
