TULSA, Oklahoma - The WARN Team is watching thunderstorms producing heavy rains, lightning moving out of central Oklahoma Friday morning.  WARN Interactive Radar tracked the storms as they moved out of Payne County into Creek and Tulsa counties.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says these storms as they make their way east are bringing lots of rain and lightning.

The rain is causing problems for Tulsa area drivers.  The Tulsa Police Department reported several crashes across the city as the rain arrived.

For the rest of Friday, Crone says it will be hot and humid across eastern Oklahoma with more thunderstorms developing Friday evening across northeastern portions of the state.
