Driver Distracted By Tulsa County Deputy Runs Off The Road

Tulsa County Sheriffs Office says a distracted driver swerved right off the road and into trees when he spotted a deputy following him.

This happened at about 3:15 a.m. near East 36th Street North and Peoria. The car was driving north on Peoria, and the deputy was southbound. The car wrecked as the deputy was turning around to go north.

The car's airbags were deployed, and the driver of the car was transported by EMSA with unknown injuries. The driver was later arrested by Tulsa County Sheriffs for driving under the influence of alcohol.
