Molly Miller and Colt Haynes have not been seen for more than a year. Now, private investigators believe the case is linked to several missing person cases.

Miller, 17, and Haynes, 21, disappeared from rural Love County last July.

Klein Investigations, a private investigative firm hired by the family, gave News 9 a look at a possible weapon connected to the case.

“During the course and scope of our investigation, we were able to locate a weapon,” Philip Klein with Klein Investigation said.

Klein said much of the evidence points to Conn Knipp, who was the last person to be seen with Miller and Haynes. He's since been arrested for running from police that night with Miller and Haynes as passengers, but Knipp has not been charged in their disappearance.

“A relative of Con Knipp, his mother, was in possession of a weapon that Knipp gave to her two days after the event or the disappearance of Molly and Colt,” said Klein. “She stored it at her house until police came to her house wanting to talk to her.”

The investigators have also pinned down additional persons of interest in the case. Their names are being withheld, because they have not been arrested, but Klein believes the same people are connected to the disappearance of an oil field worker.

“He has been identified as someone taking shots, and there are vehicles we have now found and law enforcement has found, and he is definitely a person of interest,” Klein said.

According to the missing person report on Brandon Nichols, he was loading saltwater into his truck at an oil lease in Gene Autry, just north of Ardmore, when he disappeared in April.

Coworkers allegedly found his truck abandoned and still running. His shirt and cell phone were also left behind.

Klein said he continues to provide local law enforcement with new information in the case.

Authorities would not confirm Klein's theories, saying “there are a lot of possibilities.”
