Police Arrest Suspect In NW OKC Deadly Shooting

Police have arrested a man who is accused of shooting and killing another man in northwest Oklahoma City, Saturday morning.

Police have arrested a man who is accused of shooting and killing another man in northwest Oklahoma City, Saturday morning.

According to police, just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 2900 block of N.W. 28th Street. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 28-year-old Jamaris Miles, inside of a vehicle parked next to a business in the area.

Police said Miles had apparently been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the investigation, police identified 34-year-old Cameron Jones as a suspect, and learned that Jones might be staying at a home in southwest Oklahoma City. Sunday morning, patrol officers located Jones at a house near S.W. 53rd and Santa Fe.

Jones was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first degree murder.

According to police, this is Oklahoma City's 43rd homicide of 2014.
