The News On 6 WARN team says a strong arctic cold front will roll out of Canada and across Oklahoma this evening bringing very cold temperatures that will stick around for a while.
Before that front arrives, temperatures across eastern Oklahoma Monday will be in the mid 70's.
According to News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone, Monday evening's cold front will not have much precipitation but temperatures will drop to near freezing overnight and only warm to a high of 44 on Tuesday.
Monday's cold front will be followed by several more surges of very cold air Wednesday and Thursday with highs staying in the upper 30's both days and overnight temperatures dropping into the lower 20's.
Crone says by Saturday and Sunday, another front will enter Oklahoma and this one may bring some moisture in the form of snow flurries Saturday evening and into Sunday.
