The Tulsa volleyball team (19-8, 11-5 The American) swept the USF Bulls (11-17, 5-11 The American), 26-24, 25-17, 25-19, on the road, as Valerie El Houssine finished with a match-high 13 kills, to help lead TU to a perfect 2-0 weekend.

Erica Bohannon finished the match with 10 kills, while Bailey Clampitt had TU's lone double-double, with 33 assists and 10 digs.

Erin Fairs led USF's attack with 12 kills on 42 attempts.

The win helped lift Tulsa to its fifth road win in the last six tries.

Tulsa was off to a slow start in the first frame, going down 12-7 early on. TU stormed back to cut its deficit to 14-12 to force the Bulls to use a timeout. Following the break the Hurricane knotted the score at 18-18, however, USF opened its lead back up to 24-20 and were on the verge of taking the opening game. Tulsa used some of its magic from the match prior and ran off six straight points to steal game one from the Bulls.

Bohannon and El Houssine combined for 13 first set kills, while each hit .500 in the frame.

In the second frame, it was the Hurricane who got off to a fast start, racing out to an 11-6 lead. TU kept a comfortable lead, expanding the advantage to 19-12, before closing out the set strong and going up 2-0 at halftime.

El Houssine led all players with 11 kills through two sets.

The final frame proved to be all Tulsa. The Bulls saw ties at 4-4 and 6-6, but TU pulled away from there. Tulsa extended its lead to 16-10, before it ran away with the set and earned its sixth win in a row.

Tulsa will return home one last time when they take on second-place Temple on Friday Nov. 21 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a match against UConn on Sunday at noon, where TU's three seniors, El Houssine, Clampitt and Carly Boatwright, will all be celebrated.
