It was back to losing ways for TU, when they were outgained by over 300 yards to the University of Central Florida. Their season continues to drag on. Coach Bill Blankenship said, "Nobody understands their frustration better than I do, because I actually get to deal with it. I can look at the record. I know why people would be frustrated by that. You know, I learned a long time ago, you deal with what you can control."

With only two games left, people are beginning to question the coaching staff. "I should never make a blanket statement that everything is fine. I think we have to evaluate it all," said Blankenship.

Blankenship talks about the potential of next year, since many players will be returning. Keevan Lucas, Dane Evans, Zack Langer, and more will be back. The team made the same claims about having potential due to returning seniors last year, but they were all disappointed about finishing with a 3-9 season.

Blankenship believes there is a difference in expectations for going into this upcoming season versus last season. He said, “We weren't a good passing team in 2012, I feel like we have that [this year], I'm Mr. Sunshine on some of that stuff, I guess. But, if you look at our roster and you look at the guys making plays, there's a lot to be happy about."

"The younger guys [are] going through it... They know they need these next few games, because we don't get those next 15 practices because of the bowl game," said Tulsa linebacker Mitchell Osbourne.

Blankenship stated that more high-profile recruits will be making visits to TU in December. Blankenship said that they believe in the future of the program. "They look at these two seasons and they pretty much expect, like we do, that we're going to get it back to where it's supposed to be," stated Blankenship.

TU heads to Texas Saturday to take on Houston.
