Police Say Group Recruits Tulsa Homeless To Cash Forged Checks

The Tulsa Police Department's financial crimes unit is investigating a group from Texas for recruiting the Tulsa homeless to cash forged checks.

TPD said it has a photo of a person of interest in the case and needs the public's help in identifying him.

He is believed to be providing the forged checks to homeless people who walk into local banks and present the checks for cash, TPD said.

The vehicle in question appears to be a white Chevrolet Traverse, according to police.
