A woman driving in Broken Arrow told authorities she rolled her car trying to avoid an oncoming car that had crossed the center line. It happened Sunday morning on 193rd East Avenue at 35th Street South.

The 24-year-old woman was southbound on 193rd when she told officers she had to swerve to avoid a head-on collision. Investigators say she overcorrected and rolled her Scion into a ditch on the east side of the road.

The vehicle landed upside down, and she was helped from the car by Rolling Hills Fire Department firefighters.

She was taken to the hospital to be checked out but did not appear to be seriously injured.

The roadway was blocked for about an hour during the investigation and clean up.
