Tulsa police are looking for a suspect who eluded officers by jumping a set of railroad tracks.

Police at the scene said the chase started after the driver ran a red light near King and Sheridan around 4:15 Friday morning.

They say the driver sped off through the neighborhood and when the road ended at some railroad tracks, the driver jumped the tracks and crashed on the other side.

The patrol car then slammed into the back of the suspect's vehicle.

"You're in a pursuit, you're having to keep eyes on the suspect and while your watching the suspect, he goes over a berm," said Corporal Kevin Warne, Tulsa Police Department.

The officer was taken to the hospital with neck pain and a sore knee but is expected to be all right.

Police say the driver took off running, and the officer wasn't able to get a good description. Investigators say it turns out the truck was stolen.
