An Oklahoma City judge has ruled Locust Grove will advance in the class 3A football playoffs.

Oklahoma City Public Schools last week requested and received a temporary injunction to keep Locust Grove from playing in the next round of the playoffs.

On Thursday morning, the judge ruled against Oklahoma City Public Schools, saying the Douglass-Locust Grove game won't be replayed.

Read the judge's order

At issue was the enforcement of a penalty against Douglass in its game against Locust Grove on November 28, 2014.

Douglass scored a go-ahead touchdown on the play, but the referees mistakenly disallowed the touchdown and Locust Grove went on to win 20-19.

The Oklahoma City school district appealed to the OSSAA, which voted to let the results of the game stand. OKCPS asked an Oklahoma County district judge for an injunction.

After hearing arguments for three hours Wednesday afternoon the judge said he would announce his decision Thursday morning. The judge ruled that OSSAA's decision not to replay the football game stands.

Oklahoma City's Heritage Hall was supposed to play the winner of the game on December 5, to decide who will play in the state 3A championship game against Cushing.

The OSSAA says the playoff game will be played Friday at 7 p.m. at Sapulpa High School.
