Oklahoma Couple Invited To Vice-President's Holiday Party

Vice President Joe Biden invited a Broken Arrow couple to be guests in his home for a very special night in Washington, D.C.

Sharon and Mary Bishop-Baldwin were at Joe Biden's annual holiday party Tuesday night at the Naval Observatory, which serves as the home of sitting U.S. Vice Presidents.

Sharon called the night magical; but that magic didn't end at midnight.

Wednesday, the two received a special tour of the White House - a dream come true for the couple.

Sharon and Mary were excited to see 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. decked out in all its grandeur for the season.

The couple fought for a decade for same sex marriage, which political leaders said helped lead to changes in a half-dozen states, including Oklahoma.

Last week the two were presented the Human Rights Award at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
