Two Men Arrested After Car, Foot Chase Across North Tulsa

Police say two men are in jail following a police chase across north Tulsa late Sunday.

Police arrested two men after a chase across north Tulsa Sunday night. Officers attempted to stop a car for an expired tag at Pine and Irvington at about 9 p.m. 

They said the car sped away, but in the 5700 block of East Pine the car slowed down and a passenger got out and ran. Police said the man tripped and fell and officers "heard a sound consistent to a gun shot." The arrested the suspect, identified as Joshua Boffer, 30.
Police said where Boffer tripped officers found two handguns and a wallet. 

The driver of the car continued on with police in pursuit. The chase ended when the car crashed at King and Peoria. Officers said the driver ran while threatening to shoot at police. Officers arrested him. He's identified as Timothy Tiger, 35.

Police booked Boffer and Tiger into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of possession of a controlled and dangerous substance. Joshua Boffer was also booked on complaints of possession of a firearm and interfering with a police officer. They also booked Tiger on complaints of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, resisting arrest, eluding and driving with an expired tag.

Jail records show Boffer was being held on $45,500 bond and Tiger on a $120,700 bond. Both men have court appearance set for December 30, 2014.
