It will be a very Merry Christmas for dozens of Tulsa school children who sometimes can't afford high tech gifts.

Tulsa Police Department officers were busy Monday delivering 60 refurbished computers thanks to the 12th Annual North Pole Computer Project.

Several businesses and nonprofits donated the computers. The computers come with a keyboard and educational computer games.

The North Pole Computer Project was started in 2003 by retired Tulsa Police officer Glenn DeWeese. He passed away in 2007, but police officers still continue to carry out his work.

Monday morning, officers delivered the computers to children.  It's something both the children and parents are very thankful for.

"I've talked to some parents and many of them that I've talked to are just, they couldn't have gotten one otherwise," said Karen Ford, PC Power.

Organizers say most of the children who received the computers were selected because they receive free or reduced lunches at school.
