On January 31, Tulsa Public Schools (TPS) will partner with SMG Special Events along with the BOK Center to present the High School Hoops Showcase. The showcase will feature 16 of the best teams from the Tulsa area. The event will consist of eight games, four boys games and four girls games, all played in one day.

TPS is excited for the contests. "We are pleased to partner with the BOK Center and SMG in the promotion of high school basketball with this outstanding event," said TPS director of secondary schools athletics and activities Gil Cloud. "On behalf of TPS athletics and all of the participating schools, we are honored to be invited to participate in the second annual High School Hoops Showcase at the BOK Center."

The event was a success last year, so it is much anticipated this year. "The 2014 High School Hoops Showcase exceeded all of our expectations for what a first-year event like this could be," stated BOK Center general manager Jeff Nickler. "SMG Tulsa strives to create additional ways for the citizens who funded this great community asset to utilize it. We can't think of a better reason to open the doors of the BOK Center than hosting high school student-athletes, their coaches, families, and fans."

The showcase allows student-athletes to display their skills against other players who have the ability to match them in caliber. It also allows local talent to play in a professional venue.
