Mid-America Industrial Park and Google teamed up for a robotics competition Friday. It's the first one just for students in Mayes County.

Teams from seven schools went head to head with robots in several contests. This one was sumo wrestling - where the winning robot had to push the other one out of the ring.

Google had mentors from their data center work with the teams and encouraged them to pursue technical jobs.

"To make this a place where students can be born here, grow up and go to school and they can work here without leaving northeast Oklahoma," said Mike Wooten, Google Oklahoma.

The team from Chouteau High school won today's event - which Google plans to hold again next year.
