Broken Arrow Couple Shot In Their Garage; Police Make Arrest

Broken Arrow Police say a husband and wife were both wounded in a shooting that took place in their garage. Both were hit in the legs.

Broken Arrow Police made two arrests in connection to a shooting on the city's east side Tuesday.

Police Cpl. Leon Calhoun said they got a 911 call from the home in the 2800 block of East Fort Worth with a man screaming at 11:30 a.m. When officers arrived they found a husband and wife in the garage both shot in the leg.

Calhoun says the man was shot twice and the woman once. He says the shooters then left the the scene in a white SUV. Both victims were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be OK.

According to officers, based on information gathered at the scene they were able to identify Donti Johnson and Jeremiah Murphy as suspects. Police said they were also acquaintances of the victims.

Police said they located Murphy in Broken Arrow and Johnson in Bixby.

Records show Murphy, 33, was arrested on a robbery complaint and Johnson, 25, was arrested for robbery, two counts of shooting with intent to kill and Felony CDS trafficking warrant.

Police have not given a motive for the shooting.
