Tulsa Family Learns Son Survived Nepal Earthquake

A Tulsa family has learned their son survived the Nepal earthquake. Pete and Beverly Thibeault spoke to News On 6 on Sunday after being unable to reach their son Chris. 

Chris Thibeault had recently moved from Tulsa to Nepal for an extended stay to volunteer.

His parents spoke to him via Skype about four hours before the devastating earthquake struck Saturday. Four minutes before the earthquake struck, he emailed them, but then they didn't know whether he was safe until Monday night.

That's when they got the happy news that their son survived the earthquake and its many aftershocks.
