A metro theft suspect isn't shy, and he appears to be taunting investigators on social media.

Well now, he has their attention and one of his alleged victims is speaking out.

Police say 19-year-old Cody Panter has been stealing from people in the Del City area, and he's bragging about it on Facebook.

Now, they want him caught before someone else is victimized.

“I've been 20 years with the police department and I believe I've dealt with him for probably 10 years,” said Ted Kleber, Del City Police.

Del City Police know Panter extremely well, and they say he has a troubled criminal past.

In fact, police say he's been arrested nine times in Del City alone, not to mention he's been in and out of the Juvenile Justice Center nearly 20 times.

“We've got him with auto burglaries, we've got him with burglaries. He's just a troubled kid,” said Lt. Kleber.

But this one is a first, and police don't think it's funny.

Recent outward and unapologetic posts on his Facebook page about another theft, has Del City police closely watching.

Police say to him, it's a game with zero consequences.

“I sent out a mass message to everybody I knew that was in the neighborhood,” said Del City mother, Sarah Tubby.

Sarah Tubby's surveillance cameras on her front porch caught someone believed to be Cody stealing her son's bike.

“People were chiming in, they knew who he was, they knew where he was,” said Tubby.

A recent post on Panter's Facebook page says, "Congratulations folks! The vast majority of Facebook has successfully publicized me. I can't express enough how thankful I am for my instant fame. I bet I get paparazzi by the end of the week. I'm a hardened criminal. You people blew up my **expletive** like a **expletive** Amber Alert over a bike. Seriously? There has to have been 9 year old children that have accomplished a greater feat. If that bike was constructed of solid gold, it may be an issue requiring such attention. That is **expletive** crazy. Happy hunting.”

When police saw Sarah's surveillance video, they knew immediately who it was.

“We filed the charge right then and there,” said Kleber.

“This is his job. This is what he does for a living. He takes from others,” said Tubby.

“I think he deserves to go to jail because he keeps on doing this over and over,” said Tubby's son, Ezekiel.

Police say Panter claims to be homeless and may also be feeding a meth addiction.

Right now, he faces a felony complaint of larceny from a house.

If you know where he is, you're asked to call Del City police.
