Suspect In Enid Deadly Shooting Turns Self In

A man turned himself in to authorities after being accused of shooting and killing another man in Enid, Oklahoma, Wednesday night.

According to Enid police, at about 9:49 p.m., officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting in progress in the 600 block of N. 7th.

When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Michael Ryan Hayes in the street with several gunshot wounds.  Officers attempted CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived.  Hayes was transported to St. Mary’s hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:41 p.m. 

Hayes was then taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City. 

At about 2:06 a.m. Thursday, police said 21-year-old Larry Lawson III came to the Enid Police Department and admitted to the shooting.  He was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder.
