The numbers seem to be growing when it comes to college players transferring for more playing time, but Oklahoma State’s J.W. Walsh is an exception to the rule.

He's started games each of the past three years but lost the job to sophomore Mason Rudolph.

Head Coach Mike Gundy told fans at the Cowboy Caravan Friday night that Walsh could play in certain situations this season, which is easily believable since OSU hasn't made it through a whole year with one quarterback since Brandon Weeden and the Fiesta Bowl team of 2011.

Walsh says he's sticking around because he wants to win. "One of the reasons I stayed here was I love this place and I think this football team has a chance to be really special and I want to be a part of it,” said Walsh. “It doesn't matter what it is, what way it's going to be, but I want to be a part of something that I think could be really special. And we have a chance for that this year."
