Three eastern Oklahoma counties are holding special elections Tuesday.
In Tulsa County, voters in the Berryhill Fire Protection District are deciding on a $750,000 bond issue proposal to funding the building and maintaining a new fire station. Only voters living in five Tulsa County precincts will be voting. Those precincts are 142, 143, 801, 802 and 856.
Muskogee County voters will decide if restaurants and bars will be able to sell alcohol on Sunday. Currently, the county only allows liquor by the drink Monday thru Saturday.
If approved, Muskogee County would join 13 eastern Oklahoma counties which have approved similar or limited Sunday sale guidelines.
And Pittsburg County voters will decide Tuesday on a one-cent county sales tax. The ballot states money raised will be used for "construction and repair of county roads and bridges; acquisition of equipment and materials; contractor services as necessary and not for salaries of county employees."
Polls in all three counties are open 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
