A cold front sweeping through is bringing another round of heavy rainfall to Green Country Sunday morning.

"Some of those storms will have the potential to be strong to severe. Strong winds will be our main concern along with the potential for hail," Knight said.

Northeast Oklahoma saw rainfall in the early morning hours before the thunderstorms shifted southeast. Rain and storm chances will be highest across southeastern Oklahoma for the afternoon and evening hours.

Folks in northeastern Oklahoma will still need to be weather aware for outdoor plans in the afternoon and evening as a chance for scattered storms still exist.

"North winds behind the front and drier air will take the muggies away for a few days," she said.

Cooler temperatures once again will make for almost comfortable afternoons. Morning lows for Monday and Tuesday could dip down into low 60s, even upper 50s in some locations, making for some almost chilly starts! Sunshine and southeast winds bring highs back to near 90 by the middle of the week.

On Saturday, heavy rains produced flooding in Oklahoma and numerous homes in the town of Commerce have water damage.

Commerce Emergency Management Director Ernie Shelby says there are no reports of injuries, but some streets were closed after about 4.3 inches of rain fell in a 30 to 45 minute period starting shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Commerce is in Ottawa County -- about 95 miles northeast of Tulsa.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa also reported flooding in Osage, Pawnee, Kay and Logan counties with more than 4 inches of rain recorded since midnight in Red Rock in north-central Oklahoma.
