Vandals Desecrate Stilwell Church

Vandals broke into a Stilwell church and caused extensive damage.

Doors, windows, ceiling fans, pews and a number of other items at the Sanders Flats Cherokee Church were damaged the weekend of August 23.

Damage includes graffiti on crosses and paintings along with shattered glass and other materials thrown about the church. Phrases “God is gay” and “Satan livz 4 ever” were spray-painted on walls and doors, photos show.

A fundraising site has been created to help the church fix the damages.
