The stage is set for an even bigger and better Tulsa Christmas parade. Organizers unveiled new details about the December 12th parade Wednesday morning.
This year's theme is an "Old Fashioned Family Christmas."
There will be giant balloons, which Tulsans are encouraged to sponsor; a marching band competition is also part of this year's parade - the winning band gets $3,000.
“What local band is not short of cash? And so with the prize money from local businesses stepping up, we're able to reward those young people with that prize money, that cash, so it's a very exciting opportunity," Paul Ross said.
The parade route is the same as last year but new this year will be VIP grand stand seating. Companies or groups can reserve one through September 22nd for $1,000.
The parade's charity this year is A Soldier's Wish.
