TULSA, Oklahoma - On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a request for a new hearing for Oklahoma Death Row inmate Richard Glossip. Glossip is sentenced to die for the 1997 beating death of an Oklahoma City motel manager. Glossip was convicted of masterminding the murder.

Some high-profile people are trying to prevent next month's execution. Actress and activist Susan Sarandon and Sister Helen Prejean have taken up Glossip's cause, hoping public outcry will be enough to prompt Governor Mary Fallin to grant a stay of execution.

The two women will appear on Dr. Phil Monday. The episode will air at 4 p.m. on News On 6.
