OKC Police Investigating After Disturbance Leaves One Man Dead

The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating after a disturbance in Northeast Oklahoma City leaves one man dead.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating after a disturbance in northeast Oklahoma City leaves one man dead.

Just after 1 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the scene in the 2500 block of NE 12th Street near Grand Boulevard. 

Callers told police they heard gunshots about 1:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the street. That man was rushed to the hospital where he later died. The man did not live in any of the homes in the area, police said.

“At this point we know that the victim suffered trauma consistent with homicide. We currently have no suspect information. Our detectives are working to develop leads,” said Oklahoma City Police Officer Travis Vernier.

The man's identity has not been released.
