An Oklahoma City man was released from a Tulsa hospital after he was treated for a head injury suffered in an accident on Lake Tenkiller according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Joseph Haley, 23, was on a wake board Friday afternoon being pulled by a 1985 Cobalt ski boat when he fell off the board and into the water. They said before the boat's operator, Jeffrey Shelly of Edmond could retrieve Haley from the water, Haley was struck by a 2007 Yamaha watercraft.  The OHP says the watercraft was being operated by Johnny Harvey, 26, of Oklahoma City.

Haley was flown by helicopter to the Tulsa hospital.

The OHP report stated inattentive operation as the cause of the accident.
