Family Escapes Burning Berryhill Home

Three residents of a Berryhill home awoke to the smell of smoke early Tuesday.  

The Berryhill Fire Department got the call just before 2:45 a.m. about a fire at West 51st Street and South 57th West Avenue. A man, woman and child had escaped through a window by the time firefighters arrived. 

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly.

The cause of the fire  is under investigation.
