'Skinhead' Patches Found In Claremore Walmart 'Accidentally Added' To Product
CLAREMORE, Oklahoma - Recently, a Claremore father found a “Skinhead” patch in a pack of iron-ons meant for kids.
The company, Horizon Group USA, said its manufacturer accidentally added the "Skinhead 69" patch to its NextStyle multipacks.
They said the patch was neither approved nor designed by the company and that the product has been discontinued.
They said they are working to make sure any remaining products are removed from the shelves and ask anyone who purchased the NextStyle multipack with the patch to call 1-800-651-0616.
As many people pointed out, the Skinhead 69 patch is a reference to the English movement which, at first, was a reaction to Hippie culture.
Skinheads were not associated with racism until several years later.
