A Pawhuska man faces federal charges after the death of his girlfriend in August. A federal grand jury indicted Thomas Eaves of second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Starr Pennington.
If convicted, Eaves could spend the rest of his life in prison. Investigators say Pennington died of blunt force trauma to the head and had broken bones and bruises.
Doctors believe she had been dead for hours when Pennington brought her to the hospital.
