Food truck fanatics and food truck newbies got the chance to test out local cuisine at the fourth annual Eat Street Tulsa Food truck festival in the Blue Dome District on Saturday.

All together 26 food trucks lined the streets Second and Elgin, and live music filled the air.

The variety of food included barbecue, tacos, sweets, bratwurst, Filipino-inspired food and a lot more.

Event organizers said even though there's a big variety of food with flavors that come from all across the globe, all of the vendors are homegrown in Oklahoma.

Over the past few years, organizers said the constant growth in food truck business and popularity has had a big impact on the festival. And it shows in the continued growth and participation they see every year.

One man we spoke to said he'll be tracking down his favorite truck even after the festival is over.

"I'm loving it,” Brad Perry said. “We went to Mr. Nice Guys earlier today and we got the spicy jerk chicken mac and cheese. And it changed my life. It was that good. It was divine. It was probably one of the best pieces of food I've ever had in my entire life, it was that good."

The festival’s executive director said it is a great way for the food truck owners to gain more business and exposure.

"Support local business, if nothing else food trucks are great local chefs, small business on wheels and these guys are busting it all day long throwing out really great product,” Jo Armstrong said. “And every dime you spend out here stays local, and I think that's a really important thing."

The venders were home grown and so were the music acts that hit the stage.

Organizers say the Blue Dome District is turning into the place to be and having home-grown food and artists will help keep its hometown feel.
