Toy Rifle Believed Used In Tulsa Robbery Attempt

Police are looking for three teens who they said tried to rob a Tulsa couple with a toy assault rifle early Tuesday.

Officers said the robbery happened at the Brixton Apartments in the 5300 block of East 47th Place just after 3 a.m.  The victim told police she and her boyfriend were asleep when the three between the ages of 16 and 20 forced their way into their apartment and tried to rob them with a toy AK-47 style rifle.  

Police said when one of the victims noticed the rifle had an orange tip, the trio ran out of the apartment and east into the complex.

Police said neither victim was injured and nothing was taken in the robbery attempt.
