One Dead, One Injured In Rogers County Motorcycle Crash

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatality motorcycle wreck in Rogers County.

CORRECTION: Although a trooper at the scene initially believed the woman driving the car in the collision had run a stop sign, further investigation shows that was not the case. No criminal charges are expected.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatality motorcycle wreck in Rogers County. 

News On 6 has learned the motorcycle was on State Highway 20 at 177th East Avenue when a woman in a white Toyota crossed the highway. The motorcyclist, 68-year-old Walter S. Zaring, of Broken Arrow, hit the side of the car.

The passenger on the motorcycle, 26-year-old Caitlyn Palmer, of Owasso, was killed. Zaring was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the Toyota, Kelly C. Keller, 34, of Collinsville, was not injured.

In a news bulletin, OHP said State Highway 20 from 161st East Avenue to 193rd Avenue was closed due to the wreck.
