Tulsa Police are investigating two robberies that took place early Sunday morning. The victim of one - a female convenience store clerk - told police the robber did a "swan dive" through the opening in a plexiglass barrier designed to protect cashiers.

The robber took a drawer from the cash register at the U-Stop in the 2500 block of East Mohawk Boulevard and got away with an undisclosed amount of money, police say.

The cashier was unharmed, running to a nearby church to call for help.

"She's a little shook up, nervous, but she's OK," said Sergeant DeLorn Sanders, Tulsa Police. Sanders said the man drove off in a gray SUV.

The other robbery was around 8:30 a.m. at the Comanche Park apartments at 1400 East 36th Street North.

A resident was robbed by a tall, thin man wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, authorities say. The victim told police the man pointed a gun at him before taking cash..

Police thought the robberies might have been committed by the same man, but witness descriptions did not match, Sanders said.

"This is two different situations," Sanders said. "The robbery at Comanche was basically a person going to pick up a friend, and supposedly someone pulled a gun on him and took some of his possessions."

Police are searching for the suspects.
