Police arrested a convicted felon after a high-speed chase across Tulsa early Tuesday.

Officers said Antonio Woodfork, 26, also left a handgun behind after jumping out of the SUV at the end of the chase.

The chase began at about 1:15 a.m. when police saw an SUV speeding east on Pine towards Sheridan. Police said once Woodfork got onto Interstate 244, he sped up to about 100 mph.

Police said he got off the interstate at 129th East Avenue, stopped in a parking lot, got out and ran towards the East Central Village Apartments in the 12100 block of East Admiral Place. Police said he left .40 caliber handgun behind.

Officers used a K9 officer to track Woodfork to the apartment complex and arrested him.

Police booked Antonio Woodfork into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of eluding, speeding, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, DUI and driving under suspension.
