A hotline has been established to help victims and witnesses of the OSU Homecoming Parade tragedy.

District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas announced the establishment of the hotline in a press release on Tuesday afternoon. The hotline was made in part because of the difficulty in locating individuals who may have been impacted by the event.

“The victims and certain eyewitnesses of the incident that took place in our community are afforded certain rights to notification of court proceedings, and my office would like to hear from each of these individuals to ensure those rights are met,” said Thomas.

Special Coverage: OSU Homecoming Tragedy

Thomas asks that all the family members, anyone who suffered physical injuries and eyewitnesses to the crash to call the hotline at (405) 338-6023 or by email at OSU-Parade-CrimeVictims-Witnesses@dac.state.ok.us

“In addition, families of the deceased victims, those who were injured, and eyewitnesses who were in the direct threat of violence may be eligible for assistance under the Oklahoma Crime Victims Compensation Act,” said Thomas.

Callers to the hotline will hear a recorded message asking for contact information in order to receive notification of court proceedings.
