Police: Shot Fired During Tulsa Armed Robbery

Police are looking for two men who robbed a man and a woman outside an apartment complex just north of downtown Tulsa early Wednesday.  

Officers say the armed robbery happened at the Sunset Plaza Apartments in the 200 block of East Independence just before 4:30 a.m.

The couple told police they were sitting in an SUV in the parking lot when two men armed with handguns came up and demanded money.  After giving them cash, the victims ran away.  Officers say the female ran to her apartment and the man down the street.

The woman says as she ran she heard a gunshot. Police did find a shell casing lying next to the SUV.  

Both victims reported seeing a brown car leaving the complex, but police said neither could provide a good description of the two suspects.
