Sand Springs Girl Hides In Closet While Burglars Ransack Home

Some terrifying moments for a 12-year-old girl in Sand Springs as police say burglars ransacked her home while she hid in the closet.

Sand Springs police say it happened just after 8 a.m. near the 1000 block of north Lake Drive moments after the homeowner had left to run an errand.

His 12-year-old daughter said two men -- one in a hard hat and safety vest -- banged on the door eventually broke in. 

Last week, we did a story about some Tulsa neighbors who believe men posing as construction workers broke into homes in daylight robberies.
