Tulsa police arrested a man for holding someone hostage inside their home near Pine and Sheridan overnight. Police say Travis Scott went into the home, turned out the lights and held a victim inside at gunpoint.

Scott then started a fire in the furnace, filling the attic with smoke, according to police. Police suspect he was trying to destroy property because they found a stolen passport in the furnace area, an arrest report states.

The 36-year-old Tulsa man reportedly had several stolen guns including one that belonged to a Drumright police officer.

"There were multiple other items stolen from the police officer that included a tactical vest and various ammunition," the report states.

Scott was also driving a stolen vehicle, police say.

He was booked on complaints of kidnapping, arson, three counts of possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and a stolen vehicle - all after former felony conviction.

Court records show a conviction for driving under the influence second offense, and other crimes.
