The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a man found in a creek on Saturday now is being investigated as a fatal hit and run.

TCSO is asking for the public’s help for information leading to an arrest in the case.

The body of the 50-year-old man was found near the District 12 levee after a passerby stopped about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and called authorities. The body was recovered from the creek bed at the bottom of a bridge in Big Heart Creek at 7th Street, just west of 65th West Avenue.

Deputies said the man likely was pushing his bicycle when he was hit and died shortly after.
