Monday marked the 74th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The sneak attack by Japan killed 2,403 Americans and launched the United States into World War II.
Oklahoman Dominic Baldrachi survived the attack; he was in the Army but was at the naval base visiting a friend.
Baldrachi remembers he was reading the newspaper when America was attacked on the morning of December 7th, 1941.
"The planes would come down and dropped down real low, and the first thing that came out was the torpedoes. You could see the torpedo on top of the water," he said.
Baldrachi immediately jumped into action. He showed the sailors he was with how to put machine guns together, then, how to fire them at the Japanese planes.
