Tulsa Fire Displaces Twelve, Space Heater May Be To Blame

Firefighters believe a space heater may be responsible for a house fire just west of downtown Tulsa early Tuesday.  

The Tulsa Fire Department got the call to the 700 block of South Phoenix just before 5:30 a.m.  Firefighters arrived to find smoke pouring from the second floor windows.

Firefighters said six adults and six children got out of the home safely thanks to a smoke detector.

The fire was knocked down quickly, but not before it caused extensive damage to the second floor.
