Corps Increases Release From Robert S. Kerr Reservoir

<p>The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has increased the&nbsp;amount of water pouring through the gates of the dam on the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir in Sequoyah County.</p>

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has increased the amount of water pouring through the gates of the dam on the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir in Sequoyah County.

The Corps of Engineers says as of Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015, it's releasing over 350,000 cubic feet of water per second. The Corps increased the flow from about 326,000 CFS Tuesday afternoon.

The Corps said the good news is homes downriver from the dam are not in immediate danger from the elevated flows. As of Tuesday evening, there had not been any evacuations.
