Gas prices are now less than $1.30 a gallon at several stations in the Tulsa area Tuesday.

Across the country prices have dropped about 8 cents in the last week. The price per barrel of oil is also dipping, down to about $29 this week. That's a 13-year low.

The United States lifted sanctions against Iran, which now plans to increase oil production by 500,000 barrels per day and is expected to push prices even lower.

Nationwide, the average price was $1.89 on Monday, according to AAA. The Oklahoma statewide average was $1.58.

"Gas prices have fallen for 55 of the past 66 days for a total savings of 26 cents per gallon and should remain relatively low because there is more than enough oil and gasoline around the world to meet demand," the AAA posted on its website.
