A Tulsa chiropractor is teaming up with a local non-profit to help those facing homelessness feel more a part of the community.
Dr. Chuck Zoellner and members of Tulsa Runner are donating new running shoes to John 3:16's running group.
The group brings together people facing homelessness to run as a team and participate in marathons. It's goal is to make those people feel like they're just like any other person who enjoys running.
"When everyone's running, everyone's a runner. You know, no one's homeless, no one's unemployed, no one's a drug addict. Everyone's just a runner," said Andru Morgan with John 3:16.
"It's a social aspect, but you're also getting great exercise out of it, and you're actually feeling a sense of community. That's what we hope to bring with these guys," said Dr. Chuck Zoellner.
Zoellner Chiropractic is also offering free treatment to runners for any running related injuries.
