Tulsa police spent a few hours questioning several people after a shooting and stabbing over a dog dispute in the 1500 block of North Delaware.
Officers say when they arrived to the home on Saturday, a man standing outside, Robert Hefner, confessed to have shot a woman and he surrendered.
Police say they found an unharmed woman lying on the porch and another woman inside the home who had had a gunshot wound to the back of her neck and a stab wound to her leg. According to investigators on scene, the wounded woman was walking around the home when they arrived.
The stories between the roommates weren’t matching up, police said, so they continued to question them.
Eventually officers were able to find out the Hefner and the woman were in a moving vehicle together when Hefner threw the woman's dog out the window and it was run over. The two continued to argue until they got home and things turned violent and Hefner shot and stabbed the woman, police said.
She was taken to a hospital, but her wounds are not considered to be life threatening, investigators say.
