Residents in Iowa are getting into the caucus spirit and for some, that means more than just your basic yard sign.

"Well, it certainly brings attention," Bernie Sanders supporter and Des Moines resident Tim Schofield said.

Schofield's homemade sign is decked out with lights and a drawing of Sanders' head, welcoming all those who drive by to the revolution.

"This is 31st Street. We get thousands of people across this street. I have people that drive by, honking their horn saying 'go Bernie' or 'feel the Bern.' Our area is more of a Democratic than a Republican neighborhood," Schofield said.

In West Des Moines, George Davey's sign is of the Republican front-runner's face.

"Actually, I’m kind of a lifelong Trump fan; more than just a supporter," Davey said. "Dallas County is a Republican county so he’s pretty popular around here."

Davey said he wanted to have a Donald Trump sign by Black Friday because he thought about 50,000 vehicles would see it that day while driving by on the highway.

"They didn’t really have any big ones, they just wanted to bring over really tiny ones. So, I thought, 'you know what? I’m going to do something a little different,'" Davey said. "I wanted to create a sign that you could look at and go 'oh I’m against Trump (but) that’s a great sign.' Or 'oh, I’m for Trump, he’s saying you’re fired, that’s awesome.'"

As Iowa residents rally for their candidate during the the caucus Monday, Schofield and Davey will see if these elaborate displays were worth it.

"You know, putting the sign up there has, I'm sure, it has helped a lot, because now you go through the neighborhood and you see a lot of Bernie signs," Schofield said.
