Tulsa police were called to the 300 block of West 63rd Place North on Saturday, closing off the street while they investigated calls of a man wearing military-style fatigues and walking around the neighborhood with a gun.

TPD says officers found the man on his front porch, and he told them he was tired of gang violence in his neighborhood is why he was walking around with a gun.

Police said once they determined he hadn't committed a crime and that he had a license to carry, they deescalated their presence.

There initially was a heavy police presence and the street was blocked off for a while causing a detour.
